For those who’ve seen the “Secret Garden” is it easy to remember the great comedy drama aired in 2010-2011. The outstanding outfits, cars and houses contributed at the originality of this K-drama. Not to mention the actors that were the strongest part of this series.
Hyun Bin, the leading male actor, won the “Grand Prize (Daesang) for TV” at the 47th Baeksang Arts Awards, for this role. His character, a man from a wealthy family, swaps souls with a stuntwoman and find himself in all kind of amusing situations. Imagine a middle-class woman soul trapped in a rich man body trying not to mess things up and a man soul who doesn’t understand what is going on with him. Hyun Bin smile when kisses by mistake his cousin’s lips is exquisite. And those dimples…
Ha Ji Won plays the role of a stuntwoman (Gil Ra Im), a woman without family and support. She had a tough life and her only dream is to play in a Hollywood movie. But she met Kim Joo Won (Hyun Bin’s character) and her life turns upside down.
In this series the difference between the rich and poor is well contoured and brings up all the problems related to the marriage and inheritance in the wealthy families. Richness and beauty, poverty and needs represent the twisted reality of our sociaty. On one hand are the rich and powerfull people with their restrictive rules, and on the other hand are the poor people who have the libery to fall in love.
Yoon Sang Hyun, Kim Sa Rang, Lee Phillip play some of the main characters of this K-drama. Crazy relationships, crazy characters and extraordinary remarks made from this drama one of the best of the year. If you haven’t seen it yet I highly recommend it. Enjoy!
