Seven new K-dramas in August


The Korean producers try to compensate the ending of the summer with lots of interesting new K-dramas. On 12th of August on tvN, “ Cinderella and the Four Knights” will air for the first time, Fridays & Saturdays at 11:00 pm. Based on the novel “Cinderellawa Nemyungui Kisa” by Baek Myo, this drama is a modern Cinderella story. Eun Ha-Won (Park So Dam) is a high school student who dreams to became a veterinarian and her last option to fulfil her dream is to move in a mansion, Sky House, with three chaebol cousins under same special conditions.
Kang Hyun Min (Ahn Jae Hyun), Kang Ji Woon (Jung Il Woo) and Kang Seo Woo (Lee Jung Shin) will try to live under the same roof with Ha-Won. Hmm.. this story looks like the one from “You’re Beautiful” starring Jang Keun Suk, Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Hwa. Therefore, it will be fun.

“Jealousy Incarnate” is a drama which depicts both romance and competition between two colleagues working at the same television news show. It will air starting 17th of August, on SBS, Wednesdays & Thursdays at 10:00 pm.
Pyo Na Ri (Gong Hyo Jin) is a weather forecaster who is a part-time worker at a famous television. She falls in love with Lee Hwa Shin (Jo Jung Suk) who is the new star of the station, and she will have to find a way to succeed in both her career and personal life.

“Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” is a historical comedy drama which will start on 22nd of August, on KBS, Mondays & Tuesdays at 10:00 pm. This series is based on the web novel “Moonlight Drawn By Clouds” by Yoon Yi Soo. Hong Ra-On (Kim Yoo Jung), disguises herself as a man and counsels men on dating. Under some circumstances, she meets Lee Yeong who is the future Crown Prince Hyomyeong (Park Bo Gum) and without knowing about his identity will fall in love with him.


“Laurel Tree Tailors” is a drama about competition and friendship story between four guys who have their own tailoring business for men’s suits. We will see playing Lee Dong Gun, Jo Yoon Hee, Cha In Pyo, Choi Won Young and Hyun Woo. The premiere will be on 27th of August, on KBS.

On 27th of August “Blow Breeze” will start airing on MBC, Saturdays & Sundays at 08:45 pm. “Blow Breeze” depicts Mi Poong’s life story. She is a bright North Korean girl who studies dancing. One day, Mi Poong has to go to Seoul where meets Jang Go, a South Korean lawyer.

“Our Gab Soon” will air starting with 27th of August, on SBS and depicts various kind of marriage forms. We will see a married couple, a divorced one, a remarried one, etc. Each couple has its story in which the happiness and life problems are combined. Kim So Eun (Shin Gab Soon) and Song Jae Rim (Heo Gab Dol) are playing the main characters.

The end of the month (29th of August), will bring us on SBS “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo.” This series is an adaptation of a Chinese novel. Hae Soo (IU), a girl from our days, goes back in time, to Goryeo dynasty and find herself trapped in the fight for power between princes of Wang’s House. She will fall in love with Wang So (Lee Joon Ki) who is a man feared by many people. This drama has been filmed entirely before its premiere.

  1. I’m sooo behind on Korean Dramas. The last one I watched must’ve been about 3 years ago. I feel like there’s even a whole new generation of starts now (you know how fast they change). Slow Breeze sounds cute, I’m not big on historical dramas so it’ll probably take a kickass story to get me to watch one again. Although… Moon Lovers {insert thinking emoji} does look like a solid one. I mean IU, Lee Joon Ki, need I say more. Anyhow, nice blog you got here.
